The day of the flight I started regretting my decision. All I had in my head was: “What if they don’t like me?”
But at that moment I took a second to think and I decided to give it a shot and give it my best.
I got out of the car, took out my luggage and put on my backpack, my mom carried the hoodies we designed. we went up the escalator and I saw everyone saying goodbye to their parents, IT ALL STARTS NOW.
It felt so surreal, I’m going to be away from home, away from my mom, dad and my two other siblings.
We lined up one after the other and I was the last one in line. We went up the escalator towards the desks. It took us about 3 hours to get past the security and passport control.
Time went by fast, we were getting seated in the plane in a matter of minutes. There it was, we have departed, it was awkward at first having to interact with one another. Eventually we all went to sleep. Although the seats were very uncomfortable, it didn’t matter much.
